jolyne was born to a wealthy family, her father is the ceo of the family's fashion house, with her grandmother being the creative director of the brand. growing up in such environment made jolyne particularly fascinated by pretty things, and it was no surprise for her family to know she wanted to become a ballerina. being raised by her grandmother, jojo was never kept away from her mother's identity, and her father always spoke wonders about the goddess of love and beauty. aphrodite was always present in jolyne's life, manifesting herself in many ways even when she couldn't physically be with her daughter. everytime jojo saw a white dove, or found a small shell, she knew it was a sign her mom was watching over her.

being a demigod, jolyne was trained at the camp half-blood, where she was assigned head counselour of cabin 10, the one dedicated to her mother. despite not being aware of her abilities at first, training proved to be extremely useful to her. because aphrodite is the goddess of beauty, jojo inherited the ability to change her aspect as she likes. from the colour of her hair to her facial features. she can also manipulate desire and feelings, being able to get a particularly weak person to do whatever she desires. jolyne shares a peculiar bond with animals, and she swears she can understand them, just like her mother does.

small note: the shibuya incident has yet to happen in the timeline of this au. all characters are canon and present, hence jolyne will interact with / talk about some of them occasionally.

jolyne didn't remember much about her childhood, not about her first years at least. most of the memories she recalled from said years involved nanami, and that was probably because she lived with him. when she was little, everyone made sure she didn't know everything. she didn't need to, she was too young to understand. jojo lived a normal life, she attended a normal school and even took ballet lessons. her and nanami went on regular walks, had dinner at local restaurants, just like a normal family. every time they were out in public, jojo made sure she always addressed to him as "dad". although this was required, he never really pressure her to call him that in private. she still did. jolyne knew nanami kento wasn't her biological father, but he could've been. he still was the closest thing to a parental figure she had. he had tried to avoid such responsability, but there wasn't much choice. it was the safest option after all, at least according to gojo. "i can't take her, you know who i am. you're leaving anyways, she's safer with you". they changed her name and everything, they put in extra effort to make them look convincing.

curses shouldn't know, sorcerers shouldn't know either. if they knew she was fed all of sukuna's fingers it would be a problem. it would be even more of a hassle if they knew jolyne and sukuna shared their bloodline. but that was the only way to make the most out of a not-so-delightful situation. this way, tokyo jujutsu high would keep sukuna on a leash, waiting for the moment the king of curses will attempt something, and stop him. it sounded so easy, obvious even, the right choice. jolyne never complained once, not about the precarious life she had to live nor about having the literal king of curses in her brain at all times. she grew used to it, and truth to be told sukuna let her be most of the time. but don't get things wrong; he didn't like her, and he was just waiting for the right moment to cause chaos. she was waiting for the right moment to black flash him.hoping they wouldn't have to wait forever.
